When trying to write a caption to say how I feel about the war that has been brought to Ukraine, I am still lost for words. In the globalised world we live in today, it was unimaginable to me that such unprovoked aggression and tyranny could actually happen on European soil. Being German, we all know the stories from our grandparents about how devastating and soul-destroying a war is on all sides of fighting lines. To make a decision to end so many life‘s in a matter of days only shows how dangerous this person really is. History has shown what people like this are capable to do. Ukrainians we see you and we stand with you!

Sounds scary? Unfortunately, this is the reality we live in today. Over 5 million pieces of plastic currently float in our oceans, mostly in 5 ocean garbage patches. The biggest Garbage patch is the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. It is 3 x the size of France! Ocean pollution is a real danger to not only marine life but all living beings. Let’s support an amazing NPO who aims to clean up 90% of floating ocean plastic pollution. Let’s share their mission and do our bit to ensure no plastic enters the ocean!

Receiving feedback like this is more than rewarding. We always strive to find the best possible sustainable solutions. Even though everything takes so much longer and a lot of projects have to be scrapped because the end results do not comply with our ethos and vision, it’s all worth it in the end. Every single plastic bottle that can be recycled, every ounce of cotton that can be harvested in a sustainable way and every forest that can be saved from deforestation helps to start a brighter future on this planet.
