EARTHCHILD

Earthchild is a South African childrenswear brand founded in Cape Town in the 1990s by entrepreneur Jonni Katz. The brand became known for its clean, nature-inspired aesthetic and early use of organic cotton and natural fabrics in kidswear.

Its first flagship store opened at Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront in 1997, helping Earthchild grow into a nationally recognised children’s fashion label. The brand later became part of the Truworths portfolio and today offers clothing, footwear and accessories for babies, girls and boys.

Earthchild’s story also extends beyond fashion: the brand was connected to the launch of the Earthchild Project, supporting environmental education, wellbeing and youth development in South African communities.
