First job of 2015 and I can say I'm more than just a little happy with how it turned out. An elderly lady had built this house from scratch and unfortunately have had nothing but hassles and delay's from the building company. The total build took 14 months, which was 6 months over completion date in contract. The poor lady has had to pay out a substantial sum of money to have things finished or fixed up. That weren't complete or up to a acceptable standard. This double carport being a big mess. She hated how much dust the floor picked up and how impossible it was for her to sweep it clean. Upon inspecting the flooring I discovered that it wasn't the the floor holding dust, it was the actual concrete itself. It was poorly finished, the floor was disintegrating and seriously porous...The lady has her 96 yeah old mother living with her so I knew that us at PPS had to come to the rescue and restore some happiness to there ordeal as well as some faith there are still decent people in the world. We prepared the concrete before repairing any chunks, chips or areas that needed it. We then rolled a clear water based, dust proof, hardened, oils/stain repellent concrete sealer. This sealed the concrete giving it a nice gloss look to it, as well as making it slip proof, dust proof and easily a cleanable carport which it should have been from the very start. The client was over the moon with the outcome and said it had really given her something to be happy about. The client went on to also write a thankyou card to PPS- thanking us for our courtesy, kindness and respect for an ageing lady wishing us all the best with the future of PPS.. It's the little show of a appreciation like this that make it all the more worth it. PPS - restoring the good back into peoples life one section of concrete at a time!
