This week we have TWO very deserving stars to celebrate! ✨

💖 Congratulations to Maddi – our Beginners Star!

Maddi has done an amazing job completing her very first skirt project! From the beginning, Maddi has demonstrated wonderful confidence and a developing skill set, showing a great understanding of the sewing processes along the way.

She is an exceptional listener, stays focused on the task at hand and always gives her absolute best to every activity presented to her. It’s been fantastic watching her confidence and skills grow!

🌟 Congratulations to Molly – our Creative Textiles Star!

Molly consistently arrives at class eager and enthusiastic to learn new textile skills. She approaches every task and challenge like a champion, never gives up and always gives things her best shot.

That determination, positive attitude and willingness to challenge herself are qualities that will take her a long way. Remember, it’s not about getting everything right the first time; it’s about having the courage to keep trying!

👏 Congratulations to both Maddi and Molly!

Your achievements are very well deserved, and it’s an absolute pleasure watching you both develop your skills, confidence and creativity.

Keep believing in yourselves, keep challenging yourselves and, most importantly, keep creating!

🧵💙 Workshop 2 was filled with creativity, laughter, and wonderful new friendships! 💙🧵

Our second KKDA Winter School Holiday Sewing Workshop was full of fun, bubbly personalities who brought so much energy into the classroom!

It was an absolute pleasure watching these young creatives embrace every part of their sewing journey. From learning new techniques to creating their own handmade projects, their enthusiasm and excitement made every moment enjoyable.

One of the highlights of the workshop was seeing the beautiful friendships that blossomed over the two days. Pippa, Indi, and Audrey shared so many laughs, encouraged one another, celebrated each other's achievements, and created a wonderful team environment. It was heartwarming to watch their confidence grow—not only through sewing but through the connections they built with each other.

As their teacher, I truly enjoyed working with these three amazing young ladies. Their kindness, creativity, willingness to learn, and positive attitudes made this workshop one to remember.

Girls, you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves. Thank you for bringing your smiles, enthusiasm, and creativity to KKDA. I hope you love your handmade projects as much as I loved watching you create them, and I can't wait to see where your sewing journey takes you next! 💙✂️🪡

🧵💙 What an incredible 2 Day KKDA Winter School Holiday Sewing Workshop 1 ! 💙🧵

What an absolute blast we had! From the moment our little creatives walked through the door, the room was filled with excitement, laughter, and new friendships.

One of the most rewarding parts of the workshop was watching students who had never met before connect so naturally. Throughout the workshop—and especially during our lunch break—it was wonderful to see conversations flowing, smiles everywhere, and friendships beginning to blossom. Seeing these beautiful connections being made is something truly special.

Our young makers also worked so hard learning new sewing skills and should be incredibly proud of what they achieved. Every single student successfully completed their very own skills set task Sashes, scrunchies and drawstring bag, and the smiles on their faces when they finished were priceless. Seeing their confidence grow with every stitch is exactly why we love what we do at KKDA.

To all of our amazing students—you should be so proud of yourselves! Your creativity, determination, and willingness to give everything a go made the workshop such a success. Every one of you did an outstanding job, and I couldn't be prouder.

Thank you to all of our wonderful families for trusting KKDA to be part of your children's creative journey. We can't wait to see again! ✂️🪡💙
