🧵💙 What an incredible 2 Day KKDA Winter School Holiday Sewing Workshop 1 ! 💙🧵

What an absolute blast we had! From the moment our little creatives walked through the door, the room was filled with excitement, laughter, and new friendships.

One of the most rewarding parts of the workshop was watching students who had never met before connect so naturally. Throughout the workshop—and especially during our lunch break—it was wonderful to see conversations flowing, smiles everywhere, and friendships beginning to blossom. Seeing these beautiful connections being made is something truly special.

Our young makers also worked so hard learning new sewing skills and should be incredibly proud of what they achieved. Every single student successfully completed their very own skills set task Sashes, scrunchies and drawstring bag, and the smiles on their faces when they finished were priceless. Seeing their confidence grow with every stitch is exactly why we love what we do at KKDA.

To all of our amazing students—you should be so proud of yourselves! Your creativity, determination, and willingness to give everything a go made the workshop such a success. Every one of you did an outstanding job, and I couldn't be prouder.

✨🪡 BEGINNER STUDENT SPOTLIGHT | BEHIND THE SCENES 🪡✨

A huge congratulations to Alice on completing her second project — a beautiful 2-layered ruffled elastic waist skirt! 👗💕✨

This project is absolutely amazing and showcases just how much Alice's skills and confidence have grown throughout her sewing journey. With each new project, Alice continues to set new goals for herself and embraces every challenge with enthusiasm and determination. 🌟

One of Alice's greatest strengths is her exceptional hand coordination skills. Many sewing techniques take time, patience, and lots of practice to master, but for Alice, her hand coordination skills seem to come naturally. Her ability to confidently handle fabric, follow construction processes, and apply new techniques has been wonderful to watch. 🧵👏

What makes Alice truly special is her willingness to keep learning and pushing herself to achieve more with every project she completes. Her dedication, focus, and positive attitude are helping her build a strong foundation of sewing skills that will continue to grow with each creative challenge she takes on. 💖

As her teacher and mentor, I am incredibly proud of everything Alice has achieved so far. Watching her confidence blossom and her projects come to life is such a rewarding part of the KKDA journey.

✨🪡 INTERMEDIATE KIDS | BEHIND THE SCENES 🪡✨

Another fantastic week of creativity, teamwork, and innovation in our Intermediate Kids class! 💖

🌟 Maggie and Audrey have been working brilliantly together with the team as they begin creating their Level 4 hoodie patterns. From sharing ideas and helping one another with pattern tracing to working through measurements and design decisions, these girls have shown wonderful teamwork and collaboration skills. It has been amazing to watch their confidence grow as they support each other throughout the process. 🧵✨

🌟 Eva has been working incredibly hard on her self-expressive overalls project. She is currently perfecting the prototype stage, carefully reviewing and refining every enhancement to ensure the fit, function, and design align with her creative vision. Her attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and determination to achieve the ideal design are truly impressive. 👖💕✨

The work from all of the girls this week has been absolutely amazing. Their creativity, perseverance, kindness, and willingness to support one another continue to make our classroom such a positive and inspiring place to learn and create. 🌟

As their teacher and mentor, I couldn't be more proud of the classroom example they are displaying. They are not only developing incredible sewing and design skills but also learning the value of teamwork, communication, respect, and friendship.

Keep up the amazing work, girls! I can't wait to see these projects continue to evolve and come to life over the coming weeks. 💖🪡✨

🌟✨ WEEK 9 STARS OF THE WEEK ✨🌟

This week, we are celebrating two very special KKDA superstars... Audrey & Maggie! 🪡🧵💖

Audrey and Maggie have demonstrated outstanding teamwork, friendship, and collaboration while working on their Level 4 Hoodie Projects. Together, they have been tracing their hoodie patterns, sharing resources, supporting one another, and using wonderful teamwork strategies throughout the design process. 👏✨

Watching these two work together has been a beautiful reminder that creativity is not just about what we make—it's also about the connections we build along the way. Their willingness to help each other, share patterns, problem-solve together, and celebrate each other's successes is something truly special. 💕

As their teacher and mentor, I am incredibly proud to see the friendships and connections being built within our classroom. These are powerful life skills that extend far beyond sewing and fashion. Learning how to collaborate, communicate, support others, and work as a team are skills that will stay with them for years to come. 🌟

At KKDA, we are about so much more than creativity and sewing projects. We are about building confidence, friendships, community, and lifelong special memories for our students. Seeing Audrey and Maggie grow not only as young creatives but also as supportive friends makes me incredibly proud to be part of the KKDA family. ❤️

✨🪡 BEHIND THE SCENES | STUDENT PROJECT PROGRESS 🪡✨

There has been so much creativity happening in the KKDA studio lately, and we are excited to share an update on some of our talented students! 💖

🌟 Audrey and Maggie have successfully completed their Level 3 Shirt Projects and are now moving onto their exciting Level 4 Hoodie Projects. Throughout their shirt projects, both students demonstrated fantastic growth in their sewing skills, confidence, and creative decision-making. We can't wait to see where their creative self-expression takes them as they begin designing and constructing their hoodies in this next stage of their sewing journey. 🧵✨

🌟 Our advanced student Eva is taking creativity to the next level by custom-making her very own pair of overalls! 👖✨ Currently in the prototype stage, Evs is carefully refining her design, ensuring the fit, functionality, and overall look align perfectly with her creative vision. This stage is an important part of the design process, allowing her to test ideas, make adjustments, and bring her concept to life with confidence.

One of the most rewarding parts of the KKDA journey is watching students develop their own unique style and transform their ideas into wearable creations. From hoodies to custom overalls, these projects showcase the imagination, determination, and growing skills of our young designers. 💕🌟

We are so proud of Audrey, Maggie, and Evs and look forward to sharing more behind-the-scenes progress as their projects continue to evolve and take shape.
