Little Free Library Altona North Little Free Library in Seventh Avenue Altona North Australia. A free “take a book, return a book?

Little Free Libraries are popping up all over the world and as a literature lover, I decided I wanted to join in. Built by my Dad, (pictured) with the ethos of Take A Book, Leave A Book, the aim is to help build a community of like minded literature lovers, especially kids. Books are provided free from our own collection and from our local thrift stores. We encourage people to drop by, peruse, take a book, and if they wish, drop back with a book to swap.

When we got our veggie bins we wanted to grow something to share. We had visions of grandad making us a timber veggie box like you see at the old style grocers. Well grandad hasn’t been able to make it to Vic yet so I had to repurpose a kiwi fruit container. The sign is a bit too feint to read but you get the drift. I do hope they get taken. Plus our library is full of books at the moment so please locals stop by. Lol
