- Select your hire duration 2 day express, 4 day standard or 8 day bookings accepted. To be on the safe side book your order for collection 1-2 days prior to the event to ensure you have plenty of time.

- Return the Dress - Simply place the dress in the dress bag provided and drop it in the collection box by 5pm on the last official day of your hire period.
- Complete a Review – Reviews help other ladies select the right dress for their special night out! We encourage all borrowers to review each product – let us know about the fit and feel of the dress. All reviews must be completed constructively! Any reviews that are found to violate the Second Dance Review Policy will be removed.
Under 18 borrowing?
For borrowers under 18 you will need a parent or guardian to rent items on your behalf.
Does Second Dance have a physical store?
We are a small home based business and offer our customers a comfortable fitting and showroom.
We currently offer appointments only!
How long can I rent pieces from Second Dance?
2 day Express or 4 Day Hire is our standard default hire or email our sales team and we can easily quote and arrange longer hires.

Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your rental order subject to the following cancellation fees and policies:
i. Cancellation fourteen (14) or more days in advance of the delivery date, there is no cancellation fee and you will receive a full refund issued to the payment card you used for the order*.
ii. If you cancel less than fourteen (14) days but more than seven (7) days in advance of the pick up date, you will not receive any refund, but you will receive a credit note for the Hire Fee associated with the cancelled order. This credit can be applied to any future hires placed within 12 months of the cancellation date.
iii. If you cancel seven (7) or more than 48 hours in advance of the pick up date you will receive a credit note of the rental cost but will forfeit the $50 security deposit.
iv. Cancellations received within 48 hours of the rental you will receive a credit note of 50% of your rental cost less the security deposit.
The above cancellation policy applies to all orders.
Pick Up
Your dress will be available at the time of schedule appointment on the date you nominated on the booking.
Weekend or public holiday orders will be processed during business hours on the next business day.
Returning your dress
Please refer to the Return Instructions Card included with your dress to return your item. Please be sure to follow these instructions exactly to avoid late fees.
Cleaning
All our outfits are professionally dry cleaned after each hire.
You do not need to attempt to clean your dress – please pop it in the Dress Bag and we will take care of the rest when we receive it.
Late Returns
It’s a very rare occurrence that a dress is returned late however if you do happen to miss your return date and return your dress back late, then we do charge late fees.
Late returns impact our business and our ability to provide a quality service to the next customer who has hired the same dress on a date following yours.
Every day you are late in returning a dress, you will be charged a fee of 10% of the Retail Value (RRP) for each day overdue. If you have not returned the dress within 5 days after the agreed return date, we will consider the dress as a non-returned item and will charge your payment card the full RRP less any security fee’s already paid. If we are unable to recover the fee we hand the file over to our companies debt collection agency.
The dress must be returned and dropped back off at Second Dance by 5pm of the final day of the rental period in the Dress Bag provided at the time of hire.
Crinkled / Creased Dresses
We take great pride and care in packing your gorgeous dress, however, some fabrics and pieces can be more prone to crinkles. If you receive a dress with some creasing, please hang it in a steamy bathroom as this will naturally remove these.
PLEASE DO NOT iron or steam the dress under any circumstance.
My Dress is too long
If your dress is too long, we ask that you don’t alter any of our dresses. We recommend using fashion tape to temporarily add a hem to your dress; just please ensure it is all removed before returning the dress for dry cleaning.
It is your responsibility to make sure that the dress does not become damaged throughout the hire, excessive staining or damage will result in further charges.
Second Dance's Hot tips to help keep the dress in perfect condition
Try not to apply any perfume’s or deodorant directly onto your fabric, spray on prior to dressing or only spray onto skin areas.
Avoid applying any oily creams and lotions to your skin before wearing your dress.
Spray Tans - we have found getting the spray tan two days before your big event results in far less tan rub then getting it on the same day or night before.
Can I wash my dress before I return it?
No, under no circumstances should you wash or dry clean the dress. We have a team or fantastic Dry cleaners who care for our items.
Dry cleaning is included in your original hire fee. If you do attempt to wash or clean the dress it may result in additional charges.
What happens if I damage the dress?
Accidents do happen. We understand this and we have included a refundable $50 of accidental damage insurance. Your insurance covers all minor wear and tear such as missing buttons, very small repairable tears, small water stains, stuck zips etc.
We have a team of dry cleaners and seamstresses who will attempt to repair the item.
Your insurance doesn’t cover permanent and irreparable damage or If your dress gets lost, stolen.
This is an extremely rare circumstance but if the dress is not repairable or lost, unfortunately, you will be charged the replacement value of the dress minus your hire fees already paid.
Does Second Dance‘Hold Dresses’
