Creative workshops for kids aged 8+ on the NSW South Coast. Chasing Creative offers textile based workshops for kids aged 8+ in Berry NSW.

Chasing Creative is owned and run by Stephanie Debeck, a qualified teacher and Mum of 2. Stephanie is passionate about working with children, providing them with a safe workspace and friendly environment where they not only learn and develop new skills, but also learn about themselves and develop self-confidence. Classes have a maximum of 4 students to ensure maximum guidance and learning potentia

l. Term based and holiday workshops are offered, catering for beginner to intermediate skill levels. Students will have the opportunity to create individual pieces from design through to completion, with guidance and fun each step of the way.

After a year off with my little guy who turns 1 next month, im excited to say that I am back Creating!! Ive just made my own sandwhich wraps for the kids lunchboxes :) any Mummas or Dads interested in learning to make these with me over the holidays?! Maybe we could do a workshop or two?!

Miss Z learning how to sew a basting/gathering stitch to gather the waist of her roller skirt! Cannot wait to see this one completed. Perfect summer skirt for twirling in :)

Term 3 has begun!! Time to make herself a Big Softie she says :) "Zing the Polite Cat" was calling her name. Lots of fun creating this cuddly 🐱

Even though we have been quiet on Facebook we have stull been busy creating in our studio! This term we have finished our macrame, had a go at knitting, learnt how to insert zippers making a pencil case or laptop bag, and Miss Z has just started to make her first soft toy "Zing the polite cat" 🐱. Its been a great Term! We are continuing our Thursday class, but also introducing a new WEDNESDAY BEGINNERS CLASS for Term 3!! Let me know if you are interested :) only 4 spots available ;) dont miss out!

Gorgeous Jess had a catch up session today to finish her Tote Bag :) turned out fabulously!! Love it 👍 she chose to line hers with waterproof fabric so she can use it for swimming and beach gear!

We are off the sewing machines and trying something new! Time for Macrame :) amazing how some fine motor skills and focus brings silence 😉 even my Ewan (6yrs) got into this one and kept going after his dinner! Lots of fun, cant wait to see the finished results 👍

The gang is back together 😊 i got so much joy from working with these 3 students yesterday, i really missed the classroom interactions amongst them; the fun and laughs they have, and the way they help and support each other. Teaching rocks 🤘
We are creating fabulous Tote bags this term, and are well on our way mastering box corners! We even had a Mini Me visitor ;) she cant wait to get involved and have a turn!
