I saw a post recently about competitors making memories at events with either a trophy, prize or a ribbon and so forth... and I absolutely agree that the memories are what last.

But here's another perspective...

Those buckles, trophies, rugs, vouchers and prizes don't just magically appear. They're often paid for by small businesses and individuals who work long hours, sacrifice time with family, and invest their hard-earned money back into our industry.

As someone who works a full-time job and then pours countless hours into my own small business, I know what goes into sponsoring an event. It's not about the recognition for me—it's about supporting the sport and the people in it.

That said, a simple tag, a thank you, or a photo with the prize goes a long way. It acknowledges the businesses and people who helped make that moment possible.

Competitors create the memories. Sponsors help create the opportunity.

Supporting those who support our industry keeps our events alive for the next generation.
