Is anyone else seeing all the excitement for Series 12 and wondering when we’ll finally get to watch it in Australia? 🪡🇦🇺

I’m a huge Great British Sewing Bee fan. I’ve binge-watched every series (more than once 😂), and it played a big part in inspiring my own sewing journey. Watching the contestants dream big, learn new skills and create incredible garments gave me the confidence to have a go myself.

I’ve searched everywhere trying to find out when and where Australians will be able to watch Series 12, but so far I can’t find any official announcement.

If you know something I don’t, please tell me! I’d love to update everyone who’s waiting. 🤞

Lately I’ve realised that what matters most to me has changed.

These days, it’s my nest 🪺. The people in it. The quiet moments. The conversations. The feeling of belonging. Whether around my table or here in this little corner of the internet.

Maybe that’s what Nic’s Nest 🪺 was always meant to be 🩷.

I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to pattern test The Cheers Collection by 🥂. One of my favourite parts of pattern testing is supporting another maker’s creative vision while sharing feedback that helps bring a pattern to life.

As soon as I finished the first wine tote, I knew she needed a friend 😂. A matching cooler bag just had to happen! I even had to work a little patchwork magic with my leftover fabric... and I think it was worth it!

Every pattern test teaches me something new, and I’m so grateful to be part of such a generous and encouraging sewing community. Thank you for trusting me to be part of the journey. ❤️

This one has my heart 💕

I’m starting to notice a bit of a pattern in my makes… bubblegum cord, thrifted denim, dots and florals. I never really plan it, I just love playing with fabrics until something feels right.

Maybe this is becoming a little Nic’s Nest style? 🪺

I absolutely loved making this Lola Jacket in Bubblegum Corduroy from 💗

This was actually my first time making a toile too… in hot pink drill! I loved it so much I couldn’t stop there, so I made the final version in this gorgeous corduroy.

This colour just fills me with pure joy, and I can already tell this jacket is going to get so much wear.
