It's been quiet around here... While i try to maintain posting and everything else when I start animating, eventually.. I reach a point where I can no longer juggle all the things.. lol
I'm at the point where i've been animating for months... after drawing for this since last year... and there's somewhat of a light at the end of the tunnel... I have deadlines approaching that I don't know if i'll make or not.. . And I get burnt out.. this is probably the worst feeling of burnout I've ever experienced.. and normally I'd suffer in silence and just continue chipping away and then rise from the grave in another months time suddenly with a completed short film!.. as though it was an easy accomplishment.. but the reality is... There is a real rut.... where I've passed the halfway point of the film... and suddenly things start feeling like they will take an eternity to finish... some of the largest, most complex scenes in this animation are at the end, so I get to pass through this rut while working on those 😑
I thought now was the time to show the reality of the workload, while I'm deep in misery 😂

I do have a lot of announcements, event schedule changes, kickstarter updates, a remake announcement I've committed to.. So i'll be back with those soon.. but for now I need to return to the shadows and keep animating 👻

Production of my short film the Franken Cupcake, is WELL underway.

While I'm still racing to make deadlines, I felt it was time to share some first looks at the character designs for the cast and the first official stills from the film.

The Franken Cupcake is the LONGEST animated short film I have ever created, not only that, but its its biggest production I've ever taken on...

when I first started animating, it was messy at best, but I was learning to animate as I went so the goal was never how good can i make this, It was can i actually even animate at all ? 😂

Now for the first time I can say the goal has changed, No longer was wondering if I could do it, or if i was wasting massive amounts of time... This time was about, how cool can I make this... And I think that it will be the first animation i'm truly proud of...
I have finally learned enough that now was the time to work my ass off on making something the best I can possibly make it... And to everyone that enjoyed my messy learning era and stuck with me while i worked things out, YOU are the reason I kept going, the reason why Candy Kult Land is growing into everything I hoped it would be.. And I hope that you all really enjoy the Franken Cupcake when it drops 🖤
