The saddest day 😢
But what an absolute Icon and what an incredible legacy she leaves for us all.
Not only her amazing music, but also her Imagination Library, which she created due to her Father being illiterate. Every registered child receives a book each month, even here in Australia!
Dolly grew up dirt poor, on a farm in Tennessee, where she was enamoured with the so called ‘Town Tramp’ with her blonde hair, tight clothes, heels and makeup. Dolly thought she was the epitome of glamour and wanted to look just like her. 💕
A musical genius, she wrote both ‘I will always love you’ and ‘Jolene’ in the very same day.
The world is a little less sparkly today, but her music, joy and love will shine on forever.
