Hi, recently a friend gave me some balls of teeshirt yarn. They are rewound from balls, so have no labels but it is thick. I haven't bothered with a pic cause its red so prob wont look anything like itself! I want to pass on if anyone in Brisbane area wants to pick up. It is thick -mI would use at least a 5.5 mm hook or needles and there is a bit over 1 kg. Give me a hoy if you are interested - its free :)

This is just gorgeous, I found it in a box of my loves, Dad's things. I just go through that sort of stuff every now and then to make sure its still ok. I decided to clean it up. Its come up really well and only had to do 1 small mend and mostly just cleaned. Its a tapestry picture of his Grandparents house in Norway, we think!
I will take some photos of some other very old work done by family members. This stuff lasts for years if looked after correctly.

Sometimes your mistakes turn out pretty good! Was trying for mustard but I love it, though happy to sell if anyone is super keen. Its 200 grams of 3 ply SW. Happy to pass on at $38

I think its time we stood up to these companies. Maybe you could make more informed choices before shopping. Sometimes it will have to hurt our purse but most of us can afford it anyway. Another thing you can do is check at the places you eat out and make sure they do not use products from these hideous companies. It is okay to ask what companies supply the products :)
