Rest has become more than sleep to me. It’s permission to stop measuring my worth by how much I can get done. It’s the space where my nervous system settles, my mind quiets, and I remember that I don’t have to rush through life to keep up with it.

Sometimes rest looks like a full night’s sleep. Sometimes it looks like saying no, taking a long walk, sitting in silence, or simply allowing myself one deep exhale. I’ve learned that slowing down isn’t falling behind it’s actually making room to come back to myself.
