Cardelish™ bloomed from the many suggestions I received from family, friends and strangers to sell my cards. It began with my isolation due to illness, and needing to find something to make me feel better. Although I really enjoyed designing cute cards, it was the appreciation from those who received them... that made me realise how important it is to make people feel loved..that we are saying how
we feel, from the heart. Like many, she was the anchor of our family and crocheted blankets for all us grand and great grandkids. When people die we often forget them over time, so I decided to take up crochet to keep her legacy alive. I learned from youtube, with the wrong hooks and wrong technique. Instead of learning to make blankets, I accidentally learned how to make animals. I worried that grandma would be sad that I had not been true to her legacy. Eventually I realised she'd just be happy that I wanted to honour her. These mistakes I have made have turned out to be blessings. I have taken something my grandma loved and it has become something I love, in my own style, true to myself
