After studying Fashion Technology, Melissa attended NIDA for 2 years and completed the Costume Making course in 1996. After completing her study, Melissa worked in the film, theatre and television industry for 11 years with some of Sydney's best costume makers and designers. In 2007, Melissa commenced working in the bridal industry which has become her passion. In that time, Melissa has made coutu

re bridal gowns for well known Sydney Designer Rhonda Hemmingway and more recently for Newcastle based designers, Melanie Ford of Designs by Melanie Ford and Linda Trigg of Gracelynn Couture. Currently operating 'Melissa Waite Couture' from her own home studio, Melissa focuses on bringing her years of experience to deliver hand made and fitted couture weddings gowns for her brides.

This sample I started about 2yrs ago but lost inspiration for her so she was still in a few pieces, until I decided to finish it for a recent Dalwood Estate photoshoot Nothing like a deadline to the get creative jucies flowing!
