All has been a little quiet on the sewing front for the past few days as I have been preparing to commence a Beginner's Sewing course for my local community next month. Registrations are open at the moment and filling fast!
Good news is that I will be creating my first videos for my Youtube channel in conjunction with these classes so that anyone, anywhere will be able to follow along for the first 4 weeks. Those introductory sessions are aimed at real beginners or anyone considering taking up sewing for the first time but hasn't committed to purchasing a machine yet.
I'm really looking forward to these sessions as I'm going to be running my classes a little differently to others. There will be just as much focus on design as there will be on the technical sewing aspects of learning this skill as I feel that is something that is always missed in sewing tuition.... particularly for those that are learning to sew online.

It's mini fabric mountain love 😍
These are the new ones I'm making up this week. I know there are some winter fabrics in here but I'm working through my stash and rather than relocate fabric from one box to another, I'm choosing to actually make something with it!
They won't be sitting dormant for long though as I wear winter clothing year round here.

There's just something about this print that really makes me smile every time I look at it.
This parrot print is Cotton Spandex from Noosa Fabric Co - lined with Jogging Sweat from Wattle Hill Fabrics.... and of course my perpetual favourite, Denim-look jersey for the hood also from Wattle Hill.
Really loving how these ones turned out :)

It's a big call but I'm making it............... I think these hoodies may just be my favourite yet!Heading out shortly ...

My sewing free day ended up turning into quite a few sewing free days (school holidays at the moment). But I'm back into it now and finishing off these. Had a late night idea to make these ends for the hoodie cords and I'm digging it! This was the first attempt. I think the technique could be refined a little but I really like the look 😊
