I’ve been getting into Ayurveda lately, it’s an ancient method of figuring out how your body works on a deeper level and how to heal with food.
This suits my dosha & it’s yummy and feels calming to eat. Which hangers for an overstimulated nervous system like mine. Recipe below.

Soothing Chicken & Vermicelli Noodle Bowl (Kapha–Pitta Friendly)

Warm, lightly spiced, grounding for Pitta and light for Kapha. Sweet potato adds natural sweetness kids usually love.

Recipe (Serves 2–3)

Ingredients
• 300–400 g chicken breast, thinly sliced
• 1 block vermicelli noodles
• 2 cups broth (chicken or vegetable)
• 1 medium sweet potato, roasted cut in half
• 1 cup broccoli florets grated
• 1 carrot, grated
• 2–3 spring onions, sliced
• 1 Tbsp tamari (or soy sauce)
• 1–2 tsp rice vinegar
• 1–2 tsp sweet chilli sauce (optional for kids)
• 1 tsp mirin (optional)
• ½ tsp grated ginger (optional but good for dosha)
• ½ tsp turmeric (optional)
• Salt + pepper as needed

Method
Cut sweet potatoe in half and roast 30min in airfryer or oven on 180c. I put ghee and salt on mine to roast

Cook chicken in a Tbsp of ghee till almost done and remove from pan.

Add veggies to fry pan and cook for 1 min along with grated ginger

Place noodles in a bowl, add chicken broth powder and boiling water for 4min until softened
Add sauce to veggies, cook 2 min.
I also added a bit extra broth to the veggies
Add chicken and noodles into frypan and cook for another minute

Assemble in a bowl, place sweet potato on bottom, add noddles, veggies and chicken on top, ladle some broth on top and enjoy.

Adjust flavour to taste

Add sweet chilli for kids
Add a splash more tamari for depth
Add extra broth if you prefer it soupy

To Serve
Top with spring onions
Add a drizzle of sesame oil only if you want (optional and avoid if heavy for Kapha)
Add lime if you have it

👶 Kid-Friendly Tweaks
- Mash a little sweet potato into the broth for sweetness
- Cut the noodles shorter with scissors

From braids to bun. Started by taking out all the braids, gave it a wash with Shea moisture conditioner, then put in a hair masque and left it for 10min, brush hair and get all the knots out while in the shower then wash out
Little miss needed a bun for tomorrow so I used SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Style Milk first and combed it through. Then sprayed her hair with SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Hold & Shine Moisture Mist, brushed it back into a puff bun, then twisted it into a ballet bun with pins.
Loving the SheaMoisture products right now, they seem to suit her hair and help lock in moisture as well as defining curls.

I think I’ve finally found the brushes that work for my daughter and I can’t tell you what a relief it is. She was fine throughout most of the 2 1/2hrs doing her hair and is very happy with the end result. Which means I’m happy too. It’s been a while since I haven’t felt so on edge doing her hair. But today was fun and all thanks to and australia
Honestly these products and brushes have been amazing for today’s hair session and made this Mum and daughter very happy 😊
