The result of my sewing room tidy - you know what I mean;-
when you plan to tidy and cull your sewing room that has more stock than Lincraft but you come across 5 tiny squares that scream at you to create something NOW - yes NOW !!!

Any tidying ceased early in the program to sew the 5 blocks together and embroider the tiny bird on one of the squares.

I wonder if there’s a way to tidy my room whilst wearing blinkers so I’m not side tracked by the pretty fabrics I have????
It really is a “thing” and a struggle!!

Saturday night - and mine involves cute fabric, precise lines, sharp scissors and lots of hand stitching.
Slightly different to my afternoon project which involved a different set of cutters and spiked thorns.
So many aspects in common though - pricking my fingers, sharp implements, a mess to tidy afterwards, both bring joy and the pretty pink shades.

My Fairy with Attitude stitchery is completedq and framed ready to display on my granddaughters wall. I’ve added a few pieces of scrap Liberty fabric left over from the other Girl with Cat stitchery.

These stitcheries from are quite simple to sew but with big impact. I’ve completed a few now and always enjoy the simple stitching. I often sew my outlines with stem stitch instead of backstitch but either way they always look super cute.

A very quick sew for me this afternoon. This started out as a teabag ☕️ wallet and resulted in becoming an embroidery thread 🧵 holder. I saw a photo of one on an OS site in a language I couldn’t understand so prepared my own sampler pattern.

Am happy with the results. I can see this sewn in a much larger size that would be quite handy as well.

I'm home again after a wonderfully relaxing cruise to the Pacific Islands.
Our first night was incredibly rough with the waves splashing on our 10th deck. The cruise director said it was the roughest seas he's experienced in 4.5 years. I opened our balcony door just a smidgeon and recorded the rain, wind and water splashes.
It certainly was wild but I
always felt safe. The remainder of the cruise was calm thankfully.
Much needed R&R with a touch of hand embroidery thrown in. Wish I'd taken more to do of course.
I'm currently working on a secret project that won't be revealed for many months yet. I hope you stay turned.

My stitchery has now been framed and ready to hand in my granddaughters room.

A Liberty border was added and it really offsets the stitchery square perfectly.

I feel it’ll remind my gd of one of my kitties.
