unless it's like 2 days out of a 12 month trip through central Asia, nah I'm good thanks. 🩡

if you a want more laid back, less touristy, quieter, cheaper, more beautiful Greek island, go to Kefalonia. one downside is you do kind of need a car to really get around and see these hidden gems, but I guarantee it will not disappoint 🩡🩡🩡

mine would be Dubrovnik, Croatia. Crammed like sardines to visit an old wall. average pebbly beaches also super overcrowded. over priced airbnbs, unmemorable food

how are we in 2026 and people still don't have beach towels with pockets...? πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

if I'm not travelling, you can find me beach rotting somewhere locally, in spring, summer, autumn and winter 🌞🌊

1 - Solo travel can be empowering, healing, and life changing. It can also feel lonely sometimes, and that’s completely normal. it's not you.

2 - Travelling won’t magically solve your problems. You still take your problems with you everywhere you go, but it is great for healing and perspective.

3 - Some places are overhyped. It’s okay to feel disappointed by somewhere you’ve romanticised online for years.

4 - You’ll almost definitely argue with the people you travel with at some point. Travel tests patience, energy, stress levels, and personalities.

5 - Long bus rides, missed trains, exhausting travel days, and things going wrong somehow end up becoming the memories you treasure most later.

6 - Group tours can be amazing for solo travellers or anxious travellers, but most are massively overpriced and often less authentic than exploring independently. Most tours you can't do all by yourself super easily for a 5th of the price

7 - Travel burnout is real. You do not need to see everything, optimise every second, or constantly be moving. slow down if you want, or take a break. Don't get to the point you're just travelling to travel, do it to live and enjoy your life.

Do you disagree with any??
