💚 Thank you to everyone who came along to the pop up at Environment & Community Fair 💚

It was such a beautiful day spent sharing conversations around sustainable fashion, mending and giving clothing a second life.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in and learnt how to mend holes, sew on a button or try a simple hand-sewn hem. These small skills make such a big difference in keeping clothes in circulation and reducing waste.

And to everyone who stopped by to support the circular economy and took home a precious piece — thank you. Every purchase supports slow fashion, handmade production and a more thoughtful way of creating and wearing clothing.

Circular fashion: a cycle, a model that ensures clothing and textile waste is reused or recycled. This is the model used here at and it is such an inspiring and challenging business model. The design process in reusing textiles and clothing is on another level, the restrictions and constraints bring boundaries but freedom is found within creativity.

The outfit I’m wearing here is made from salvaged denim jeans and denim samples from a clothing business. Who would have known that every textile in this outfit had a life before this one.

We call it upcycling, have you heard this term being used before? It’s just one way .bailey_ is working to decrease the effects of the fashion industry on our environment. What are your thoughts on upcycling?

At , upcycling and extending the life of garments is the core value. Here’s why it matters to me:

🌿 clothing is a precious resource…did you know most denims are made from a plant?

The cotton plant. It grows in soil, gets watered by a farmer, gets picked by that farmer. Then it goes through many processes to become a fibre, a yarn and then cloth. It’s a timely process that uses a lot of water and energy to produce. That’s even before it gets cut and sewn into a garment.

By utilising garments already in circulation, that whole process of growing and weaving can be decreased so our pieces have less of an impact on our environment. What’s better than that?

Fashion with meaning that adapts to your lifestyle. I created this piece with the intention that a bride would fall madly in love and choose this piece for their wedding gown.

I used a vintage lace tablecloth for the back panel and didn’t cut into it on purpose as I imagine that bride to unpick the panel and use it on her very own dining table throughout her married life. A memento from the special day, forever in the home, being built upon generation after generation.
