Last weekend I had the chance to join the mylife Diabetes Care UK team to learn about what’s coming next in diabetes technology, including the upcoming CamAPS Liberty algorithm !!! 🤖💙
The technology is exciting, don’t get me wrong.
But the best part?
The people.
It was so good catching up with familiar faces, meeting new ones, and swapping the kind of stories only people living with Type 1 really get.
The random highs.
The “I literally did everything the same as yesterday...” moments.
The wins.
The frustrations.
The little tricks we’ve all picked up along the way.
Every conversation reminds me that Type 1 diabetes is never one-size-fits-all 😊
The same meal.
The same insulin.
The same workout?..and somehow a completely different result....
That’s why I’m always excited to see tech volving. Not because it’ll magically fix diabetes (we all know it won’t), but because every new tool gives us more flexibility, more confidence, and one less thing to think about in the background
A huge thank you to everyone at mylife. It was genuinely refreshing to meet the people behind. Listening to our stories, asking questions, and genuinely caring about the little things makes a bigger difference
P.S. Yes... the team activity was baking cakes. Before anyone asks... yes, I could have eaten that, but... for me though? I’d rather save my carbs for something else! and that’s another reminder that there’s no single right way to manage our diabetes.
