I am so grateful i am part of a community of the most beautiful, generous, loving and dedicated homeschooling mamas, I also have the honour to call my friends.

For the last, almost year and a half, we regularly gather for a bday dinner or bday activities for the bday mama.

I am so privileged to be able to share a part of my art in the appearance of a group bday card. This is the latest one given to my dear friend Louise 💞🙏. Each mama leaves their message on a small card that work like inserts in the group bday card.

This card was made with mostly recycled materials: ikea furniture manual paper, amazon boxes, ripped up bedsheet, spattered and painted with acrylic paint and stamped (spine). Pages made with card stock, old book pages, hand drawn botanicals, recycled paint palette cards. Embossed aluminum, cracked paint technique. So much joy in the making 💞

There is no surprise that I love to recycle, especially when it come to art and crafting and giving a throw away item new life and new purpose 💞. Instead of cardstock, I enjoy reusing cardboard packaging. I have enlisted friends to donate 😅, they recycling for my ends. Because we almost do not eat so much cereal.

Exploring making rustic natural dyed cotton ribbon using avocado dye, tumeric, tea and iron. Stash building and creating art supplies made with recycled and up cycled materials is our jam 😍💞

This was a rush project for a dear friend, I had to enlist help of a faster crocheter , she saves my 1 wk deadline. 😁. The vision was to adapt a Granny square into a bag. happy birthday for back in August, I'm so thrilled with how it turned out.. I hope you love it.
