Infasecure have released a statement about the issue with the new Tesla YL model and child restraint compatibility.

Check it out here:

Infa Group does not endorse the use of any InfaSecure or SecureSafe tethered restraints in Row 2 of the new Tesla Model YL. Today marks an important milestone.

The Australian Child-restraint Expert Fitters Association (ACE Fitters) is now a registered Australian charity.

This is more than registration — it is a formal commitment to raising the standard of protection for children in vehicles across Australia.

While Australia has strong child restraint laws, misuse, inconsistent advice, and practical vehicle design limitations continue to create preventable risk. Families deserve clarity, consistency, and professional standards that go beyond minimum compliance.

ACE Fitters exists to:
• Promote professional excellence in child restraint fitting
• Support evidence-informed practice
• Strengthen public education
• Contribute constructively to national safety discussions

Charity registration reinforces our commitment to public benefit, accountability, and long-term systemic improvement.

This is only the beginning.

Safer journeys for children, everywhere.

The Safe Ride 20-month project, brought together lived-experience voices, technical volunteers, allied health professionals, and partners to develop assistive technology solutions addressing unwanted seatbelt release and related road-safety risks.

The six final prototype designs demonstrate a safe-system approach grounded in universal design and a commitment to reducing restrictive practices. They include both active solutions which limit access to the buckle and passive designs that help passengers regulate by meeting sensory needs, so they stay safely restrained during travel.
