There’s not many companies that can say the boss literally put his butt on the line to prove his product’s safety, but Draggin Jeans can.
Founder of the iconic motorbike apparel Draggin, Grant Mackintosh was dragged along the asphalt wearing a pair of his jeans, but in doing so he put his money where his mouth was, and proved to the world of motorcycling, that Draggin Jeans were everything he declared them to be.
In the late 1990’s, Grant was a jeans manufacturer who was determined to introduce a high-safety jean that riders could wear with confidence on their motorcycles. It took years of testing and research with motorbike enthusiasts for Grant to find just the right recipe. This was the birth of the Draggin label.
Today, Draggin is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of protective fibre technology to fine tune an already incredible recipe and provide motorcycle riders with fashion jeans.
Draggin are now the only jeans in the motorcycle world to offer CE Approved jeans at Level 1 and Level 2. CE is a universally recognised symbol of product quality and durability. The science behind the jeans is all in the lining and this lining is knitted in a particular way that the loop of the weave faces the road. This means if you are sliding, during an off, the knit of the fabric acts to dissipate the heat away from your body. It slows you down so you don’t get as much friction and thus minimises injury.
The Holeshot jeans and C-Evo jeans were put through rigorous CE testing to replicate the same abrasion and impact experienced during a motorbike rider’s accident. They passed and exceeded all the CE tests. Draggin uses the same lining in all its, which is engineered into all of the major crash points.
