80 high-quality wheelchairs donated to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) Hospital, Aligarh — through Rahat Social Impact Foundation.
Sometimes giving back starts with something very simple.
A few months ago, we started thinking about what we could do for JNMC Hospital in Aligarh.
Not something that would simply look good on paper, but something that could make a patient’s day a little easier.
So today, through Rahat Social Impact Foundation, we donated 80 high-quality wheelchairs to JNMC Hospital, Aligarh.
A wheelchair may seem like a small thing.
But for a patient who cannot walk, it can mean mobility. For an attendant, it can mean being able to move a loved one safely from one part of the hospital to another. And for a family already going through a difficult time, sometimes making one small thing easier matters more than we realise.
This initiative is particularly close to our hearts because my father, Mr. Rahat Sultan Khan, is an alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University. Aligarh gave him an education, a career and memories that stayed with him long after he left.
Today, he wanted to give something back to the city that gave him so much.
This is our first initiative with JNMC, but hopefully not our last.
We are already working towards a larger vision for the hospital — supporting digitalisation, healthcare infrastructure, medical treatment, free health camps and other initiatives wherever we can create meaningful impact.
None of this would have been possible without the generosity of our donors and the efforts of everyone who helped bring this initiative together.
And perhaps that is what giving back really means.
You don’t have to change the whole world.
Sometimes, you just have to make one person’s world a little easier.
Alhamdulillah. 🤍
