I've met thousands of you over the years since 2017 - Sad making this post but needs to be said. As we get closer to August i'm getting more and more daily messages about boomtown. I'm not there this year. The decision was hard but have to follow my gut - i chose not to apply this year and to only apply to grass root & independent festivals. Being censored at festivals is NOT the direction we should be going in as a community. From my mums mushroom and trippy hats to my merch designs with rave slogans to spoons blackmailed to take down Saturday night, damn you nation! I am overly concerned with the event scene at the moment and I cannot be part of the problem. My previous posts explains in depth the implications it has on traders and small business - also artists. FYI this happens at all LN events not just boom - i can't single 1 event out to work with. Other areas of the event are heavily censored. I love you all and I hope you understand my decisions. Lots of love to the crew and artists behind my favourite festival but as a community we need a new change and to stop companies monopolising the festival market. I will return when they are independent again 🤞

I went down a rabbit hole last year looking into other events across America and the future we are heading into is worrying for independent traders.

We need to be speaking about this more or nothing will change.
