🎥 The Back 9 at Eynesbury did not start the way I had hoped…

Back-to-back double bogeys on holes 10 and 11 left me with plenty of work to do.

With strong winds continuing across the course, every shot counted as I tried to settle the round, stay patient and work my way back.

Did things improve before I reached the 18th?

🎥 Eynesbury Golf Course Back 9 | Stroke Play in Strong Winds

The Back 9 started badly with back-to-back double bogeys on the 10th and 11th, but things improved considerably from there.

The strong wind continued throughout the round, making club selection, distance control and keeping the ball in play a real challenge.

There are plenty of well-known golf courses across Victoria, but some of the best rounds can be found at courses that rarely receive the attention they deserve.

What is the most underrated public golf course in Victoria, Australia?

It could be the overall course, one memorable hole, the condition of the greens, the value for money or simply somewhere you always enjoy returning to.

This early-morning scene was captured at Churchill Park Golf Club in Endeavour Hills.

A first look at one of our new VES Golf short sleeve polo samples.

🎥 NEW VIDEO — FRONT 9 2-MAN SCRAMBLE AT EYNESBURY ⛳

I joined Lucas from for a Front 9 two-man scramble at Eynesbury Golf Course.

We played from the blue tees, with the Front 9 measuring 3,491 metres. The conditions changed throughout the round, with overcast skies, some sunshine, a couple of sun showers and plenty of wind.

Nathan organised the day and handled the filming while managing an ongoing back issue. Hopefully, it will not be too long before he is back on the course in a playing capacity.

Lucas and I managed to hit six greens in regulation—but how did we finish?

Nathan organised the day and handled the filming while managing an ongoing back issue. Hopefully, it won’t be too long before he is back on the course in a playing capacity.

A cold but beautiful morning out at Gardiners Run in Lilydale.

Practice facilities, clubhouse, the 10th hole nearby, and a full round ahead.

Cold mornings. Definitely worth it.

⛳ Play a Hole | Gardiners Run Golf Course

A scenic but strategic par 4 in Lilydale.

⛳ Hole 13
📍 Gardiners Run Golf Course, Lilydale
📏 357 metres
🏌️ Par 4

This hole bends slightly to the right, with a fairway bunker left tempting you to favour the right side off the tee.

But the better angle into the green is meant to come from the left, especially with the shape of the green and the greenside bunkers.

A good-looking hole, but one that still makes you think.

Come play the 13th hole at Gardiners Run Golf Course.

A 357m par 4 in Lilydale, Victoria. Australia, with the Dandenong Ranges in the background and a tee shot that gives you something to think about.

The hole bends slightly to the right, and the fairway bunker left tempts you to hug that right hand side. But the better angle into the green can come from the left, especially with the way the green and greenside bunkers are positioned.

So what are you doing off the tee?

Playing straight to the right, or head slightly left taking on the bunker to get the better angle for your second shot?
