It is with a very heavy heart that I have decided to close The Rural Trader on Friday 20th December 2024.

Despite wanting to continue my incredible journey at The Rural Trader, all good things must come to an end.

This decision to close has not been easy but I am so proud of what I have achieved in the past 2.5 years. I’m an all or nothing person and I am proud that I can now invest my time into what’s most important - my family.

To our amazing customers. The generosity, kindness and friendship you have given me is something I will cherish forever. From featuring in our social media videos, taking out furniture, spare change, mowing lawns…the list is endless of what you have done for TRT, my staff and my family.

To my staff, past and present. TRT would NOT exist without you. You have given your all to this business and treated it as if it were your own - all with your own little twist that has made it all the more rewarding. I will never be able to put into words how incredibly special each of you are and how much of an imprint you have left on our lives. A special mention must go to Courtney & Reece and Josh & Lucy who have essentially run TRT for the entirety of this year and I honestly could not have got through without you all, so biggest thank you to you.

Another huge thank you to our suppliers and tradie legends who have kept this wagon rolling albeit sometimes I thought the wagon was in the bonfire!

The girls at . I can’t believe you got a dilapidated old run down corner store dream on the map for this country chick and didn’t we make it into a beauty. Thank you for always giving me a pep up even when times were really tough!

Finally, my friends & family - both near and far. You know who you are. Thank you for the 1,000s of hours you have helped and supported me in every possible way. I am so grateful.

TRT is still on the market and I can’t wait to see what the next go-getter does with it. I often think it could be the next co-working space or air bnb!

From the bottom of my heart - THANK YOU. I hope to see you all over the coming month for your last coffee to round out the year just in time for Christmas.
