M.J. BALE x LAKE HĀWEA STATION
We’re proud to announce the launch of our newest regenerative farm partnership with Lake Hāwea Station (LHS). Located in New Zealand’s Southern Alps and owned by the Ross family, LHS is the world’s first B Corp-certified sheep farm, a certified carbon zero operation, and home to critically endangered species.
The M.J. Bale x Lake Hāwea Station collection includes six wool flannel suits, a black wool twill suit, and – coming soon – shirts and a high-performance Alpine collection. All M.J. Bale x LHS wool is woven in Italy by B Corp-certified Reda.
As per our Kingston store-to-farm rebate, a percentage of every garment sale is returned to LHS for biodiversity preservation and regeneration projects.
“Lake Hāwea Station represents the next step in what we believe commerce can and should be,” says M.J. Bale Founder & CEO Matt Jensen. “With Kingston Farm, we proved that a store-to-farm rebate model could generate real, measurable environmental outcomes. With Lake Hāwea Station, we are deepening that commitment, partnering with one of the most rigorously accredited farms in the Southern Hemisphere and building a closed-loop system where healthy land creates healthy fibre, and every garment sold actively funds the landscape it came from.”
