Art J Designs is independently owned and designed by a Perth, Western Australian artist blending his digital paintings and collage artwork into the construction and deconstruction of garments. This approach to art works to visualize the complexities of human emotions in a minimalist, genderless and existential manner.

After exhibiting in Melbourne and Sydney in 2019 he further explored the dark, avant-garde aesthetic. His interest in psychology fuelling the artworks, featured in the Belmont Hub, their 2021 Art Awards and winner of the Artrepreneur 2021 Illustrated Word.

Heavily influenced by punk and street gothic Art J Designs subsequently constructs predominatley black oversized collections. Each piece embraces a youthful sensibility, individually crafted to echo the artists state of mind; one of rebellion and anti-conformism. In this regard the works are not just contemporary fashion aesthetics rather a collection of ideas and emotions on the essence of being; stitching a statement of individuality.

Whether distorted or deconstructed Art J Designs pieces convey universal emotions and themes that deeply resonate with the sense, spirit and soul in human sensitivity and expression.
