TO CONNECT, CREATE & SEW🧵

Homeschooling offers so much freedom — and sometimes it’s wonderful to have a regular space where children can create, connect and learn alongside like-minded kids. 💕

Our Homeschool Sewing Group is a relaxed, creative afternoon where children can explore their imagination, learn new skills and make something uniquely their own.

🌈 Why sewing?
Sewing encourages creativity, patience, problem-solving and independence — while giving children the joy of turning an idea into something they can actually hold, wear or use.

👧🧒 Why a homeschool group?
It’s a chance to step away from the usual homeschool routine, meet other children who learn in a similar way, share ideas, make friends and enjoy a creative activity together.

Sewing teaches creativity. Patterns teach discipline. The sewing machine teaches patience. And the bobbin? The bobbin teaches us that trust is a dangerous game. 😂🧵

You can measure twice, cut once, follow the pattern perfectly, thread the machine like a professional, and feel completely confident… then suddenly the bobbin decides it has other plans. 😭😂 But perhaps that’s the real lesson of sewing: things don’t always go according to plan, and that’s okay. Untangle the thread, fix the mistake, take a deep breath, and keep stitching. Because behind every beautiful handmade creation is probably at least one tangled bobbin, a few questionable decisions, and a whole lot of patience! ❤️🪡
