✨✨ Expressions of Interest ✨✨
I don’t know about you guys but after being bunkered down in self isolation with my darling lil cherub daughter (AKA The Actual Devil herself 😈👧🏼♥️😂) for the last couple of weeks I am DYYYYING to get us out of the house and into my art studio for some tie dye fun.
Then it occurred to me that I may not be the only one struggling to find enough activities to keep my little one entertained while in lockdown.
Soooo, even though I’ve never really done anything like this before, here’s what I’m thinking....
I will sell kits including-
• 1x blank t-shirt (pre-soaked in soda ash)
• 3x powdered dyes (primary colours)
• 2 sets of latex gloves
• Elastic bands
You will need-
• 3x recycled 600mL plastic water bottles with lids.
• A wire rack (dish rack/ baking etc).
• Dark clothes to work in.
• Dust mask for mixing dyes (if you can’t get a hold of one with the current world wide shortage, I use a bandana 😉)
• An easily cleanable work area (indoors or out)
We (my DevilChild & I 🤣) will go live on Facebook at a pre determined time where you guys at can either follow along with us or later in your own time.
We will start off with the basics like-
• an introduction to the colour wheel and how to create secondary colours.
• how to mix your powdered dyes safely.
• simple folding and tying techniques for your t-shirt.
If I get enough EOI, I will hold future classes with more complex designs and techniques.
Beginners Kits will be $50ea.
* I have a full range of colours in the fiber reactive dyes. Additional dyes can be purchased for $10ea.
