Quilt restoration. A beautiful 40yr old handsewn, and very well loved quilt, needed lots of attention. I did question my sanity when I first said yes and then saw the quilt! But, I like a challenge.
Every piece was threadbare. I saved 4 blocks and made a 5th from the other blocks. Found some fabric that complimented the style and used the backing to rebuild the quilt top. The applique shapes were replaced and hand stitched.
The customer was very happy.

I just quilted a customer's cute baby quilt. She picked the pattern, named 'Brenda's Tulips' in my files. I think the stitching and quilt design compliment each other perfectly!

Finally finished these memory/story quilts. They can be hung up on curtain rods or snuggled under. The girls have grown up and have memories of their childhood. And a quilt for Mum, started by Grandma and finished by me.
I had fun embellishing the blocks with the different materials.
