Let us craft the story you own, one thread at a time. Meet Designer Shireen Karim – A Journey woven with passion and creativity. Shireen Karim, a fashion devotee, believes outfits express a person's identity and hold a special place for a complete individual from an early age. Even though Shireen worked for an NGO and earned her Master's degree in history from Dhaka University, her creative spirit
ultimately drove her to pursue a career in fashion design. Her debut exhibition at Drik Gallery in 2003 marked the start of her journey. Since then, she has displayed her artwork in a number of shows in esteemed locations like the Shooting Club, Muldhara Gallery, Uttara Club, and even abroad in Delhi and London. With her outstanding collection titled "Nature and Women," Shireen made a comeback to Drik Gallery in 2009. She received a prize in the "Annadin Bexifabrics Eid-Fashion Show" the following year. She won Best Designer at an event at The Westin Dhaka in 2011 as her brilliance continued to flourish at many Dhaka Fashion Week events. Around 2013, Shireen's work was also published in the well-known fashion magazine Shananda. She honed her skills at the "Design and Technology Centre" under designer Mr. Chandrasekhar Saha, focusing on presenting simplicity in a sophisticated and attractive way. She also enthusiastically endorses the use of indigenous materials, arguing that Bangladesh's abundant resources allow for the creation of numerous imaginative ensembles. She highlights cotton's versatility and festiveness while taking the local environment into consideration. A Wide Variety of Classic Works A range of methods, such as block printing, embroidery, karchupi, handwork, and sequin painting, are used in Shireen Karim's artwork.
