আমাকে কেউ জিজ্ঞেস করবেন না "কেমন আছি?" এই প্রশ্নের উত্তর দিতে দিতে আজ আমি ভিষণ ক্লান্ত। আমার আর একটি বারের জন্য বলতে ইচ্ছে করছে না "ভালো আছি।"

আমি ভালো নেই; হাঁপিয়ে উঠেছি ভালো আছি বলতে বলতে। আমি সেই ঘন জঙ্গলের গভীরে হারিয়ে যাওয়া পথিক; যে বারবার ফিরে আসতে চেয়েও খুঁজে পায়নি কোনো দিশা।

অবসন্ন শরীর; নিঃশেষিত প্রাণ, আমি ভালো নেই সেই কবেকার কোন বছর থেকে আমার জানা নেই। শুধু জানি ভিষণ ক্লান্ত আমি ভালো নেই।
