Dressmaker IRMA ORE The finest fit handmade clothes on the basis of an individual pattern made specially for You
IRMA ORE What is IRMA ORE about? I care what you wear. IRMA ORE

IRMA ORE it's handmade clothes on the basis of an individual pattern made out of good quality fabrics. I prepare individual patterns because then you can get the most comfortable and best-fitting clothes (say goodbye for too short or too long sleeves, for too big or too small sizes, or even for the thoughts, that some clothes are not matching your figure). You are always involved in the creation p

rocess, to meet your needs and get the clothes you will wear more often (remember that the loved clothes last). For the sewing project, I propose to you big variety of fabrics, from the 'death stocks' and bio fabrics to luxury wool fabrics. The connecting property of those fabrics is quality and the best feeling to you. It's very important to me how do you look and how do you feel about the clothes I made.

Embark on a chic adventure!

I am excited to design and create a stunning office dress for my friend Agnė Kviklienė. As an experienced fashion designer, I'm determined to make this more than just a dress - it's about creating a memorable experience by choosing the perfect model and material, while opening doors to creativity and having fun together!
It is always interesting for me to see my service and work through the eyes and reflections of the person for whom it is the first experience.

Stay tuned for the magical transformation 🤩

PARIS!!!

It's a good direction to travel alone after spending a long time with family 🤭

I brought home soooo many thoughts!

And it was nice to check that I’m so in love with clothes you could wear every day!

Those evening dresses are nice, but I'm better off investing in every day wear! Nothing is more important than feeling comfortable every day, and then individual bespoke clothes are the best choice!

Who Made Your Clothes?
Is it important to you?

There are countless ways to buy clothes these days.
You can go to luxury clothing stores, find interesting boutiques, buy from local designers, run into fast fashion stores, stock up on unnecessary clothes during sales, buy second-hand, barter or even get something for nothing.

But have you ever wondered why clothes can be cheap or expensive and who made them?

Surely no one would expect to buy an original painting at a low price?

We know that there is much more to a price than just a beautiful item. There is the worldview of the creator, and hobbies, and emotions, and life experience, joys and worries.

This is how we should think about individual bespoke clothes. I really admire my clients who know how to combine clothes bought from different places and create their own story, their own style. They come to me for something that they can't find anywhere else. Some find it difficult to buy pants, others don't like jackets offered in stores, others have a vision of a dress, or are simply so fascinated by the fabric they saw that they want to have clothes made of it. And most importantly, they get individual attention, communication, and what I call TISSUE therapy. The prices of fabrics, again, as well as clothes, can vary even tens of times. And again, beauty and quality may not be the only thing in price. It's also new technologies, interesting compositions, sustainability, responsibilities…

I love the harmonious mix of luxury and simplicity. The most important thing is to use it responsible.

Autumn moves into individual bespoke clothes 🍂😀

Do you make clothes for men?

Yes!

Although I mostly sew women's dresses, sometimes I also sew men's jackets and pants. It's true that my jackets are not as structured as in the store, more playful and flowy and always according to individual measurements to be maximally comfortable and confident.

Is it better to choose the fabric or the garment model first?

When working with expensive fabrics, I always recommend to choos a model first. After I draw the patterns according to your individual measurements so that you know exactly how much fabric will be needed to make the desired garment. Thus the fabric is not wasted and the desired result is obtained.
But the opposite is also possible! First, buy the fabric you like and we will creatively look at what model the fabric dictates.

Does the lining of the dress matter?

YES!

1. It will give your dress more structure.
2. Your dress will last longer.
3. It will set the mood of your dress.
4. It can even be seen and act as an accent!

As in this case, where the birds seem to fly on top of the dress.

I am blessed - that was my thought as I sat at the sewing machine. Not everyone likes to start work on Monday, and I am happy that I finally have more time for my lovely clients 🤗

I took long breaks for one very small human need, I am so grateful for your understanding that the first foundation is far more important than any dress.

Vasara goes already to nursery (the second one, actually). In the first one, she cried a lot. So many people have said to me, "They all cry and then they get used to it."
What?! Do we really have to get used to any pain? I don't think so.
We don't have to get used to painful things before we can make a difference.
I think we all do better in the right environment.
So we changed the nursery and Vasara was happier there already in the first days.
Don't be afraid to change. Sometimes just changing small parts can make a big difference.
Also, people tell me why you talk about sustainability, more conscious consumption, and fair compensation - after all, no one cares! But I care and my clients care too. And if even one person reading my posts turns from fast fashion to slow fashion, I'm already happy.

Weekend in the museum. Small pieces of what I saw:)
“ ‘Man Ray and Fashion' is an exhibition that unites Man Ray’s iconic photography and works of art with interbellum fashion silhouettes and the work of contemporary fashion designers and photographers inspired by his work. Among others, the exhibition includes creations by Chanel, Maison Lanvin, Madeleine Vionnet, Norine, Yves Saint Laurent, Martin Margiela, Olivier Theyskens, LOEWE and Dries Van Noten. “ I quote MoMu.
“Man Ray was an innovator who employed technical ingenuity and humour to ultimately change the way dress would be depicted. His experimental procedures and surrealist winks of the eye brought art and fashion closer together and still influence fashion photography today. “MoMu - Fashion Museum Antwerp

You can see it till 13th August.

Dressmaker with an explorer's heart

When someone asks me who I am, it's hard for me to give a one-word answer. Now I call myself a Dressmaker IRMA ORE because it's easier to find me online like that. But I don't just sew straight seams, my works have a lot of feeling, adaptation to different types of figures, I know many different techniques (and not only for sewing) and I like to visit exhibitions what also gives a lot of inspiration. I look at sewing as an opportunity to get to know myself and others. I love to hear how you feel good about individual bespoke clothes that are maximally comfortable to stay in the office all day long.
This time I visited the Kunstmuseum in The Hague. Of course, I was most impressed by Escher's lithograph (📸⬇️) Drawing hands (1948), but the famous graphic artist's other works are more nature-themed. He was a graphic artist with a strong mathematical flair.
And I feel that I am Dressmaker with an explorer's heart ♥️.
