And all of a sudden I’m here.
47 hours ago I jumped onto the plane to Spain to head over to my mom, who was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital.
Grateful that my life allows me to drop everything and go be with her in these uncertain moments.
Fortunate to know that everything at home is under control and carried, and that everyone encourages and understands that this is what I need to do right now.
Moved to see that the dão ship gets to keep sailing its course, that my dão team is so solid and well-rooted, and that I know everything is in good hands.
Cherishing the deep, wonderful talks we’ve already had together these past 2 days, so lovely to be this close to her and see what a remarkable, strong woman she is and has always been. Proud of you, moeke!
Big shout out to my dearest Kimberley - yes, you baby - because you give me the ease of mind that lets me just sink into my role as a daughter right now and be close to my mom.
It was a one-way flight, so we can see how life unfolds from here. And meanwhile dão just keeps running.
I wish you all the tenderness in the world - our dão softness wrapping gently around your body.
A soft hug from Spain,
see you soon,
xx dauw
