From a piece of fabric and an idea… to this. 🧡💜

No pattern.
A lot of smocking.
And quite a bit of figuring things out along the way.

I had an idea in my head, but as always, the fabric had a say too.

And now I have a dress I absolutely love. ✨

Made entirely by me, from the first idea to the last stitch.

One last make before my sewing room takes a little holiday break. 🧵✈️

It’s starting to look like a dress… 👀🧵

The smocking is done, the pieces are coming together and I can finally see the shape I had in mind.

Still no pattern.
Still figuring it out as I go.

But I think this one might just work. 😉

Now… onto the finishing touches.

A little behind the scenes… 🧵

This dress started with a piece of fabric, an idea and no pattern.

Now I’m adding the smocking — row by row, watching the fabric slowly transform.

It’s one of those techniques that takes time and patience, but I love seeing how something so simple can completely change the shape and feel of a fabric.

No pattern. No exact plan.
Just making it up as I go. 😉

And I have to say… I’m really curious to see where this one ends up.

One more sewing adventure before vacation. ✂️✨

One of my first self-drafted patterns… and I still love wearing it. 🤍

This wrap dress is one of the first patterns I ever drafted myself. No commercial pattern, just me figuring it out, adjusting, sewing and learning along the way.

And years later, I still reach for this dress.

Which got me thinking… maybe I need another one for my upcoming trip. ✈️

Same idea, perhaps a little different this time.

I guess some designs are worth making twice. 🧵✨

From an idea to a finished blouse 🤍

The first version was drafted, tested and adjusted.
And now the final version is here — made in this beautiful linen with the sweetest little golden details.

I love how a simple idea can slowly turn into something completely your own.

A self-drafted pattern, a little patience and a lot of sewing… ✂️🧵

And yes, I think I’ll be wearing this one a lot. 🤍

The second version of my self-drafted blouse is slowly coming together.
This time in a beautiful linen fabric, with a little extra detail ✨

Hand stitching, lots of little adjustments and enjoying the process along the way.

Because sometimes the best part is simply taking your time. 🤍

I love it when everything comes together 🤍

Both the top and the shorts are self-drafted—
the top is an older make, but still one of my favourites ✨

For these shorts I added a subtle decorative detail using a wing needle…
in the hem and along the pocket edges.

It’s such a small detail, but it makes all the difference 🤍
