Speaking at the Botswana Mining Show in Gaborone this week, Debswana Chief Operations Officer Koolatotse Koolatotse said 80 percent of those who left under the Voluntary Separation (VS) program have gone on to establish stable businesses, creating additional job opportunities for fellow citizens.

“Debswana is creating employers. Eighty percent of the people who have left Debswana have established businesses employing full-time staff,” Koolatotse said.
“The remaining 20 percent have joined other industries, including sectors outside Botswana.”
