Happy Canada Day. 🍁

The name Canada comes from the Iroquoian word kanata, meaning “village” or “settlement”— a small reminder that this country’s story began long before Confederation.

If you’re looking for all things weird, witchy, handcrafted, locally made, or just plain cool, we’ve got you covered.

We’ll also be rockin’ The Tragically Hip all day long, as is tradition.🤘

As we celebrate, we also honour the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples whose histories, cultures + enduring connection to these lands continue to shape this place we call home. Here in North Hastings, we’re grateful to live, work, and gather on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe.

Cecropia moth sighting at The Divinely Lost Shop! 🚨

According to leading lepidopterists, this is the largest Cecropia moth ever recorded in North Hastings. We are deeply honoured by this discovery.

The specimen appears to have established its nesting site atop our log pillows, which is eerily similar to its natural habitat.

Researchers believe it was drawn to the area by an abundance of shiny objects, curious treasures + excellent vibes.

We ask that visitors refrain from startling the moth and avoid making sudden movements near its nesting grounds. 🖤🦋

Well, holy s**t.
We made it a whole year. 🎈

One full trip around the sun.
One year of creative ideas, last-minute chaos, cursed inventory counts, beautiful humans, and somehow keeping this weird little dream alive.
