Malaika Atale also seeks to be a socially responsible organization that celebrates diversity, creativity, innovation and the people behind it. We are a company that inspires beauty while giving back to the communities that we are a part of. Malaikia was born into a family and
culture where the artistry and craftsmanship of tailored clothing was a part of everyday life. Her family immigrated to Canada in the early 1980s, the immersion in the mosaic of cultures of this new country, the dramatic change in climate, as well as a more global view of the world all served as inspiration for the creative view point of this self-taught designer. Malaika sewed her first outfit at the age of 10 and with that began a love affair with fashion that has never waned. Malaika Atale, which translated from the Ghana language means Malaika's Clothing, was founded in 2015 and is the culmination of a life long dream to bring a unique fashion perspective to life. A fusion of classic elegant design mixed with fabrics and design influences from all over the world.
