Every now and then, we get a request that is a little out there, and those quickly end up being some of our absolute favorite projects to work on.

This custom foam trucker is the perfect example. It is loud, it is definitely unique, and it came out looking sharp. We love being the shop that people can come to when they have a design that is a bit unconventional or just plain funny.

The vibrant colors on the foam front really lean into that classic vintage tour vibe. No matter how “odd” the request might seem, we take the same pride in the print quality and the finished product.

I love it when a customer comes to me with a vision.

Swipe to see the transformation. This “Old Growth” design started as just a cool concept my customer had in mind, and we worked to dial it in perfectly for a custom patch. There is nothing better than taking an idea from the drawing board and turning it into a physical hat that you know someone is going to love wearing forever.
It is all about the details—from the texture in the trees to getting that buck to pop just right.

I’m really proud of how these Hunt Camp patches turned out. For a design like this, a standard flat patch just wouldn’t have done it justice.

We went with a dual-layer approach to give the antlers some real dimension, making them sit right off that wood-texture background. It’s a small detail, but it’s the kind of thing that makes a hat stand out when you’re wearing it.
We put these on a classic trucker that’s built for the outdoors. Whether you’re heading out to the camp or just want something that represents the lifestyle, these were made to hold up.

One of my favorite things about running this shop is taking an idea like “Hunt Camp” and finding a way to make it look three-dimensional and professional. Being a small Canadian business, I get to keep a close eye on every layer and every press to make sure the final product is exactly what I’d want to wear myself.

We are really happy with how these turned out for Legacy Quests. Since they spend their time leading mountain tours, we wanted to make sure their hats felt as rugged and layered as the landscape they work in.

Instead of a flat design, we went with a dual-layered patch. Adding that extra dimension really makes the mountain peaks stand out, and it gives the whole hat a more premium, high-quality feel when you’re holding it in your hands. We paired the design with a Yupoong classic—it’s a solid, dependable hat that holds its shape, which is exactly what you need when you’re out in the elements.

Being a small shop here in Canada, we love projects like this where we can get specific with the details. It’s not just about slapping a logo on a hat; it’s about making sure the gear actually represents the work you do.

When we started 403 Custom Cuts here in Calgary, the goal was to give people more options for their custom gear. Traditional embroidery is great, but it has limits—especially when your logo has fine details or a lot of colors.

That is why we have invested in full-color UV printed patches. As you can see with this rooster design, the clarity and color depth are on a different level. We’re doing the printing and the pressing right here in our shop to make sure every hat that leaves our doors is something we’re proud of.
