I've been getting back to some of the things I used to enjoy, like getting lost in a good fiction.

I bought a Facebook Marketplace listing for some of the books I was looking for, and I noticed this company's sticker on them. So I looked them up to see if maybe they had some of the missing books I needed for my collection and they were beyond helpful!

I got 9 books, including shipping for less than $10/book. Such a good savings!

In today's economic status, it's nice to find these little family businesses 💕. Please give them a follow and consider them for your used book needs!!

This family owned business was established in 1975 by Fran and Bernie Bouffard. After their retirement, the book store was taken over by their daughter, Anne and her husband Jim. Bay Used Books is the largest used book store in Northern Ontario.

10 years still feels like yesterday. 🇨🇦

This Saturday, re-live the 2016 broadcast of The Tragically Hip’s last Man Machine Poem concert with a special broadcast on CBC.

On Aug. 22, fans can watch The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration concert at 7 p.m. local time (8 p.m. AT/ 8:30 NT) on CBC TV. It will also air at 7 p.m. local time on CBC Radio One (7:30 NT/AT) and CBC Music (7:30 NT).

Fans can also watch it at 7 p.m. ET on CBC Gem, CBC Music’s YouTube channel and SiriusXM's CBC, The Tragically Hip, Iceberg, and Canada Talks channels.

Clearing out summer to bring in fall / winter items.
Open tomorrow 11-2 ( downtown Campbellford across from Sharpe’s ).

We are now by appointment only ( since June ) 6 days a week!
We will also be doing some weekend open not by appointment days throughout the year!

Simple acts are often the most meaningful.

A few days ago, my neighbour Angel Heart's Jewels and gems (AJ Conyers) shared some food with me that they enjoy and know I also enjoy. It's an acquired taste 😄.

The timing of this was notable, as I was struggling with the loss of our dog.

I will keep saying this on repeat, that you never know what a person has on their shoulders on any given day or moment. So - always.

Hey Friends!

Fourteen years ago, I purchased Queenies Bake Shop with a simple hope: to serve great food, great coffee, and become part of this incredible community.

Tomorrow, we celebrate our 14th anniversary, and as we begin our 15th year in business, we simply want to say thank you.

Through the highs, the challenges, covid, construction, and everything in between, Port Hope has supported us in ways we could never have imagined. We are truly grateful for every customer who has walked through our doors, shared a coffee with a friend, celebrated life's milestones with our baking, or simply made Queenies part of their day.

As a small way of giving back, tomorrow only — Thursday, July 23 — everything at Queenies will be Pay What You Can.

If you can pay full price, wonderful. If you need a little help, that's okay too. We believe everyone deserves a good meal, a great coffee, and a welcoming place to gather.

Thank you for 14 amazing years. Here's to the next chapter, and to many more memories together.
