This is definitely the last mod for the BMW R 12 G/S. That’s it. I promised my wife. No more. Absolutely final. Probably. 😂💡

Also, I’m stoked to announce a new partner, .lights

They sent me a set of their Radial 6 lights, and after getting hands on with them I can already tell this is going to be a seriously nice setup on the bike.

What I like about Exposure is they come from real rally roots, and now they’re bringing that same lighting tech into the moto world. So this is not some random light company trying to look cool on motorcycles. There is proper history and engineering behind it.

The brain of this setup is the ezCAN, which had to go in first. Getting to the battery on the BMW R 12 G/S is a bit of a mission since it lives under the fuel tank… but we got there 😅

I decided to mount the lights to the Outback Motortek engine guards, and I think they’re going to look unreal once the full setup is done.

Good audio can make a huge difference in moto content 🎙️🏍️

So I’m pretty fired up on the new Insta360 Mic Pro. First off, the E-ink display is absurd in the best way possible, and yes, the Ragged Roads Moto logo is absolutely going on it. But the real reason I’m excited is 32-bit float recording. For ADV riders and moto creators, that matters. Bikes are loud, helmets are loud, wind is loud, and the best moments usually do not come with a second take.

This feels like one of those pieces of gear that could quietly make content a whole lot better.

One more mod done on the BMW R 12 G/S and I’m fired up on this one 👌🏍️

I finally threw on a set of , and in my opinion these are still the best ADV mirrors in the game. For my fellow Canadians, they just got a whole lot easier to get now that is distributing them 🇨🇦

I went with the new 4.7 inch arms and they feel like the sweet spot. Not too short. Not too long. Just right.

Honestly, I think they look ridiculously good on the BMW R 12 G/S.

One of the things I love most about riding is how completely it pulls me into the moment 🏍️

When you are on the bike, there is no room for the usual noise. No endless mental clutter. No replaying conversations. No worrying about tomorrow. You are just there. Reading the road or trail, feeling for traction, choosing lines, reacting in real time, and fully locked in.

That is flow state.

And I think that is a big part of why riding means so much to so many of us. It is not just fun. It is one of the few things that quiets the mind and brings us fully into the present.

In a world that constantly pulls our attention in every direction, that matters.

Maybe that is why a good ride can leave you feeling lighter, clearer, and more like yourself again 🌲

These 4 photos were all shot on the Ace Pro 2… which still kind of blows my mind 🤯📸

I have never had an action camera that takes photos this good. The detail, the colours, the dynamic range… honestly, it is getting to the point where it feels way closer to my SLR cameras than any action cam has a right to.

That is kind of wild when you think about how small this thing is.

I still think of action cameras as video tools first, but the Ace Pro 2 is making a pretty strong case for tossing that idea out the window.

It is easy to get caught up in who is fastest, who has the newest bike, or who looks the most dialed on paper.

But the best rider is usually not the one trying to impress everyone else.

It is the one having the most fun 🏍️🌲

The one who still gets excited to explore the road less traveled. The one who loves the campfire as much as the ride there. The one who laughs when the route gets weird, helps pick up bikes, shares snacks, waits at the turnoff, and makes sure everyone else is having a good time too 🔥

That is what ADV is really about.

Not just the riding. Not just the bikes. The people. The stories. The wrong turns. The places you find together. The kind of days you end up talking about for years.
