Just so everyone is on the same page with some history .

Back in the day ... b4 the new owners decided to be lame and paint all the chairs green ,they were all beautiful different colors !

Sunrise was orange

Eagle was blue

Whiskey jack was yellow

And the old red chair ( now hawk ) was red.

Somthing small but important to me is raising my kids to call the chairlifts still by there old color ♥️♥️♥️🙌🙌🙌

No disrespect to the new owners ,, im sure they had the reasons . Mnt washington has always been a massive part of our family's winter and always will ! ♥️

Lets hope for some pow days sooner then later 🙏

Well the 137th may long celebration did not disappoint once again 👌🔥😍

Our favorite weekend by far for this cumberland family !!

⭐Join us tomorrow for the BIG DAY! Thunderballs festivities begin at 9 AM Monday May 18 at the corner of 2nd and Dunsmuir Avenue. We have swag to give away while you’re waiting … including CCSS t-shirts and cool stuff from Dodge City Originals. We’re excited to have Sara Kempner Photography with us tomorrow to snap some great shots of the action!⭐

This year’s event sold out by Saturday afternoon—a new record for CCSS! Thanks to ticket buyers and our generous sponsors, we raised $55,000 in support of CCSS programming. A huge shoutout to our volunteer ticket sellers for dedicating their time to staffing tables and promoting ticket sales with such enthusiasm. We couldn’t have done it without you!

⛳ At 9:30 AM tomorrow we will roll all 4,000 balls down the main street, and 21 lucky folks will win a prize! The ramp ends in a funnel, from which balls are picked and recorded by our race officials. We don’t announce winning ticket numbers on the spot- we take balls away to match them up with ticket stubs and winner’s names. Winners' names will be posted on social media soon after the event, and we’ll call folks on Tuesday morning to coordinate prize pick up.

Thanks again to everyone who purchased tickets, and to our sponsors who donated over $43,000 worth of prizes + cash sponsorships.
