Pictures 1, 2 and 3, Banana flower earrings. On a trip to Costa Rica earlier this year I was inspired by all the beautiful flowers everywhere especially on the banana trees, so I decided to make some beaded earrings! Hand beadwork with deer leather backing and fingernail earring posts.
Pictures 4 and 5, orange beadwork earrings to commemorate Orange Shirt Day, the day we remember Indigenous children who were forced to attend residential schools and those children who did not make it back home. Hand beadwork with deer leather backing, fringe, and beads of glass and tin.
Pictures 6, 7 and 8, pink and green beadwork earrings. These earrings were also inspired by the colours of Costa Rica. Hand beadwork with deer leather backing.
