When you learn how your ADHD brain actually works, everything starts to change.
Small, consistent wins replace constant frustration. Your mind feels calmer. Your schedule becomes more manageable. You trust yourself again.
ADHD brains don't just need to learn...
They need to learn how to learn.
Unfortunately, school doesn't teach that.
I do. πŸ˜‰
If you're ready to stop surviving and start building a life that works with your ADHD instead of against it, I'd love to help.
πŸ’™ ADHD Reset: Foundations is now enrolling.
Three evenings. Small group. Practical, capacity-building tools that help you create more peace of mind, more confidence, and more life wins.

🐾 This is Lucy.

Lucy is VERY excited to let you know that our ADHD Reset: Foundations (3 Weeks) program is officially live on the website! πŸŽ‰

She's also excited to announce that she has accepted the very important role of Official Group Therapy Dog... and yes, she'll be at every session to offer tail wags, emotional support, and the occasional reminder to take a deep breath (or throw a tennis ball). πŸΆπŸ’›

If you have ADHD, you're hoping to head into the school year with more confidence, better routines, and practical strategies that actually work, this program was created for you.

It's designed primarily for ages 17–23-ish (Lucy insists that's just a guideline... because apparently people have school goals at every age. πŸ˜‰)

Over three weeks we'll work on things like:
✨ Time blindness
✨ Better thinking patterns and self-talk
✨ Calendars and to-do lists that actually work
✨ Reducing overwhelm
✨ Organizing your space (bedrooms, closets, cars, backpacks... yes, all of it!)
✨ Building routines that make life feel a little easier

You'll find all the details, dates, times, and program breakdown here:
πŸ‘‡

If this sounds like something you'd love to be part of, send me an email at [email protected], and we'll get you all set up.

It'll be a small group, because I want everyone to feel comfortable, supported, and ready to head into the school year with more confidence, practical tools, and a whole lot less overwhelm.

Lucy and I can't wait to meet you. πŸΎπŸ’™

🧠 ADHD Tip of the Week
One of the biggest myths about ADHD is that it's a lack of motivation.
It isn't.
Most people with ADHD know exactly what they need to do. The challenge is getting started, staying focused, and following through.
That's where practical strategies matter.
Small changes…like time blocking, Sunday planning, breaking large tasks into smaller steps, and learning how your brain works, can make a huge difference.
You don't have to fight your brain.
You can learn to work with it.
Think Better. Communicate Better. Live Better.
πŸ“ Now accepting new clients in Sudbury for ADHD, anxiety, couples counselling, and communication challenges.

Please share:
πŸš€ Something New is Coming...
Every September, I meet students who tell me the same thing...
"This year is going to be different."
They genuinely mean it.
They buy the planner.
They promise themselves they'll stay organized.
They swear they won't leave assignments until the last minute.
Then life happens.
Time blindness.
Procrastination.
Overwhelm.
Missed deadlines.
Self-doubt.
It isn't because they're lazy.
It's because no one has ever taught them how to work with an ADHD brain instead of against it.
So...I'm thinking about launching something new.
A 4-week, in-person ADHD Back-to-School Program for teens and young adults (approximately ages 16–23) who want to head into September feeling prepared instead of panicked.
This won't be a lecture.
It will be practical, interactive, and full of real-life strategies that students can start using immediately.
Before I finalize everything, I'd love your input.
πŸ’¬ I'm thinking one evening a week from 6:00–7:30 p.m.
Does that time work well for students and parents?
If you have a teen or young adult who might benefit, or if you're that student yourself, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Comment below or send me a private message or email.
I'm excited about this one. 😊

Friends, I'm putting out a little ask. πŸ’™
As many of you know, I've opened my private Therapy practice here in Sudbury, and I'm working hard to grow it.
I'm hoping to connect with professionals who regularly support individuals, couples, teens, and families. If you know anyone in one of the following fields, I'd love an introduction or even the name of someone I could reach out to.
β€’ Family Physicians
β€’ Nurse Practitioners
β€’ ADHD Assessment Providers
β€’ Speech-Language Pathologists
β€’ Occupational Therapists
β€’ Family Lawyers (especially those working with co-parenting or separation)
β€’ School Guidance Counsellors
β€’ Financial Planners who work with entrepreneurs and professionals
It's no secret that I have a special interest in ADHD, communication, relationships, anxiety, and helping people build practical tools for everyday life.
Thank you for always cheering me on. Every introduction, suggestion, or share means more than you know. ❀️

Kindness.
We spread it around like sparkly confetti.
But how often do we save a little for ourselves?
When we're healing from trauma, grief, heartbreak, or major life transitions, self-compassion is often the first thing we lose.
We're usually quick to forgive others because we know it's good for our mental health. It allows us to let go, heal, and move forward.
So why don't we offer that same grace to ourselves?
Our lives are like a beautiful hardcover book, filled with chapters. Some are joyful, some are heartbreaking, and some are simply messy. There is love, laughter, growth, and yes... a few pages we'd rather not reread.
That's okay.
Those pages are part of your story, but they are not your whole story.
Go back and revisit the chapters that remind you of your strength, your resilience, and the moments that made you smile.
Then practice something that can be incredibly healing:
Forgive yourself.
Truly. Deeply.
Pick up the pen and keep writing.
Your story isn't over.
In fact, your next chapter may be the one that changes everything.
And if you're finding it difficult to turn the page, I am here to help.

Let's talk about comfort and challenges.
Comfort is an interesting phenomenon.
Sometimes we become so comfortable in our routines that we stop growing. We settle into the familiar. We do the bare minimum. We put off the things that would move our lives forward because, in the moment, they're uncomfortable.
The problem?
Comfort has consequences.
Staying in the same place can lead to financial stress, declining health, low self-confidence, and a growing belief that life just "happens" to you. We may turn to excessive screen time, sleeping, alcohol, or other coping strategies that provide temporary relief but slowly chip away at our motivation and well-being.
Now let's look at the other side.
Choose to be uncomfortable on purpose.
Learn a new skill, it will feel awkward at first.
Start moving your body, it will leave you sore, sweaty, and stronger.
Organize your home, it may feel boring, but it creates mental clarity.
Every one of those choices feels uncomfortable in the moment.
But those healthy challenges give something back.
They build self-efficacy, resilience, confidence, better health, financial opportunity, and self-respect.
The discomfort is temporary.
The rewards can last a lifetime.
Here's what I've learned:
You get to choose your challenges.
You can choose the temporary discomfort that comes with growth...
Or you can allow life to choose your challenges for you.
One path leads to growth.
The other often leads to regret.
Your comfort is a choice.
Choose wisely.
I’d like to help.
