Lower frustrations by being prepared for the next rainy day market event.

A lot of time is spent planning and sewing my unique sewn items. The last thing I want is to have a 🌬 or 🌧 storm damage them.

I'm sharing my vendor experience and tips so you can be ready if you come to a wet, muddy site or sell during a rain storm.

🌧 Plan ahead to bring the following items to keep you and your merchandise protected and dry.

1. A change of 👚👖and 👟 will help you stay comfortable in your booth.

2. A waterproof layer such as a raincoat is needed for set ups and take downs. A light weight dollar store poncho is my preference and can be easily replaced.

3. Any table or display exposed to moisture benefits from covering with a large clear, vinyl sheet. Different size binder clips keep it in place when secured to a table top, tent post, wooden crate, etc.

4. Large garbage bags work to encase bins and products transported to and from your tent.

5. Baby wipes rescue signs with drippy messages and spot clean items that have fallen to the ground.

6. Wooden table legs won't soak up water if they're elevated by furniture sliders.

7. Before packing up a tent, use beach towels to wipe off most of the accumulating water on tent walls and the top so less drains into the back of your vehicle.

Having a similar wet weather kit available in a waterproof tote makes enduring bad weather events much more tolerable.

1. If you live locally, you can pop into between 9-2 or another event and choose from a variety of bag and accessories on display. 👝👜🎒
Be aware though, that regular market attendees come early 🕘to scoop up the best finds. They know that certain unique items sell out early.
Attendees also include cross border shoppers and tourists looking for quality items at a great price.

2. If you come to my posted markets and events you can inquire about a custom order for a bag like that shown, in a different colour or print. Sample fabrics and notions help guide your selections. 🎨

3. Or we can discuss a similar bag choice and design a favourite together.

4. 👀 If you see something you like that I've sewn and posted on Instagram, reach out to check its availability and how you can buy it/ receive it.

5. 📲 Follow and regularly visit my site to see the most recent releases and secure your very own with a deposit, with the balance due upon receipt for personal deliveries and pickups.

6. My bags can also be shipped across Canada.🇨🇦

7. Share my Instagram link with a bestie or partner and let them know your wishes. 💖

8. Buy a gift card so the recipient can have fun shopping. 🎁
