I absolutely love how it turned out, and it looks even better now that it is on the wall.🥰

And this is just the beginning… she has more pieces in the works for me, and I seriously cannot wait to show you everything she’s creating! 👀✨

So excited to see it all come together and add those special little touches that make the shop feel truly unique.

Animals hold a special place in our hearts here at Portside. We always had animals in our home growing up, and now our children are growing up the same way. We truly believe every animal deserves a chance, which is why supporting the SPCA and sponsoring a kennel is so important to us.

Our current resident is Odin, a nearly five-year-old English Spot rabbit with beautiful markings and a personality full of spice and sass! This little diva knows exactly what she wants, but she also has a sweet side and loves gentle pets when she’s in the mood.

Odin would thrive with an experienced rabbit owner who will appreciate her charm, confidence and affection—on her own terms, of course! 🐰

Things are starting to come together at Portside! ⚓️💙
It feels like we’ve been working toward this forever, and it’s pretty exciting to see it come together even more.
Our first shipment of Portside hoodies has officially arrived 🙌 and they’re being printed as we speak! Seeing the first pieces of our own clothing line come to life is a pretty big moment for us.
And the timing couldn’t be better because this weekend we’re heading back to my hometown of Comfort Cove for the Shellfish Festival! 🦀🦞
Portside is proud to be a sponsor of this year’s festival, and I’m especially happy to support an event in the community I grew up in. ❤️
We’re hoping to have a little sneak peek of one of our new hoodies this weekend… and maybe even get one out there as a pre-launch giveaway at the festival! 👀🎉

It’s been a minute! Still over here trying to get everything in place, but I finally have some good news to report! The clothing has been arriving one box at a time, and apparently I’ve been convinced that it’s time to actually start unboxing. 😂
The good news is, we’re finally far enough along with the renos that it’s safe to start taking things out of their cardboard homes. Progress! One box at a time… literally. 😅

It's amazing what a few finishing touches can do! 🌸✨

The shop is really starting to come together, and we're loving how everything looks with the new sign and beautiful flowers out front. It's starting to feel like the welcoming little shop we've been dreaming about.

A huge thank you to Bursey Signs for creating such a fantastic sign and helping bring our vision to life, and to Faith's Greenhouse for the gorgeous flowers that add the perfect splash of colour and charm. 🌺

And for those of you with sharp eyes who noticed the "NL Treasures" sign... 👀

That means Portside Clothing Co. is now accepting applications from Newfoundland and Labrador artisans, makers, creators, and small businesses who would like to have their products featured in our dedicated NL Treasures section! 🇨🇦⚓

🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

After much consideration, we've decided to pivot our business and enter the boat-building industry. 🛶⚓

That's right... Portside Clothing Co. is now Portside Boat Works! 😂
In all seriousness, Bob the Builder has been hard at work crafting this beautiful dory, and we couldn't be happier with how it's turning out.

Now for the real question...
🤔 Can anyone guess what this dory will be used for once it's finished?

(Wrong answers are encouraged. We already have a few ideas involving pirates, cod fishing, and escaping renovation projects. 😆)

P.S. Cute dog photos because I can. 😆 You mostly see pictures of my 4 legged babies because my two-legged kids have informed me that Mom is not allowed to post photos of them anymore. 🙄😂

Another step closer! ✨

The office floor is officially finished, and it feels so good to see this space coming together so I can get off the kitchen counter 😬
A huge thank you to Sherry and Kim at Notre Dame Agencies for dealing with me through this process — the questions, the decisions, the second-guessing! You helped tremendously.

The wall colour was inspired by my niece, and I wanted something bright and cheerful to help lift the space since the office has no windows. A little colour can go a long way in keeping everyone in a good mood. Same thing applies to outfits 😉
Slowly but surely, we’re making this place feel like Portside. 💙

Now to start staining 500 more boards 😆

We’re leaving the big city today after picking up some retail furniture for the shop… including one huge mirror. 👀🪞
Now, according to good ol’ Newfoundland lore, breaking a mirror brings 7 years bad luck… and we still have to haul it back over Newfoundland highways full of potholes big enough to have their own postal code. 😅
So everyone send good vibes, smooth-road energy, and maybe a little bubble wrap prayer our way. 🤞
