My first small-batch collection of Fringe Bags has returned from my talented local cottage-industry sewers — and seeing them all together feels pretty special.
Made from reclaimed vintage textiles, each bag was cut by me and sewn locally here in London, Ontario. No two are quite the same.

This rare late-1980s House of Bianchi wedding gown was one of those finds — 100% silk shell, sculptural sleeves, handmade roses, pearl details and a sweeping train.

From vintage wool blanket to something new. 🧶🪡
Stacks of rescued wool, mittens, capes and wraps taking shape. Using wool roving, needle felting and a few simple embroidered stitches.
I’m slowly building my fall collection by letting the colours, textures and history of each blanket guide what it becomes.
Made slowly. Made locally. Made from textiles worth keeping. 🤍

These well-loved jeans had worn right through but with a little reinforcement and a lot of stitching, they’re ready for many more wears.

A little milestone for Second Verse. 🤎
My first small-batch production is underway—17 tapestry bags, created from reclaimed upholstery textiles and thoughtfully prepared in my studio.
And for this next step, I’m proud to be working with talented local cottage-industry sewers right here in Ontario to bring each one to life.
For me, growing Second Verse means staying true to what matters: giving beautiful textiles a second life, producing in small quantities, and supporting skilled makers close to home.

Every textile deserves a second verse.

Second Verse Apparel was founded on the belief that beautiful materials shouldn't end up in landfill simply because their first chapter has ended.

Instead of producing new fabrics, I thoughtfully transform vintage quilts, lace, linens, wool blankets and reclaimed textiles into one-of-a-kind garments designed to be worn and loved for years to come.

Proudly designed and made in Ontario, I'm honoured to be recognized as an Ontario Made brand that celebrates local craftsmanship, thoughtful production, and slow batch Canadian manufacturing.

Nothing I create starts with a roll of new fabric.

Each garment begins with the search for forgotten textiles like vintage quilts, embroidered linens, lace, wool blankets, and fabrics that have lived a beautiful first life.

Every piece is carefully cleaned, restored when needed, or botanically dyed and thoughtfully designed, and handcrafted into something entirely new.

No mass production.
No duplicates.
No shortcuts.

Just slow, intentional craftsmanship that honours the hands that created these textiles before mine. Connecting past and present!
